Dr. M. Lee Goff is the Director of the Forensic Sciences Program at Chaminade University of Honolulu. This program offers BS and MS degrees in Forensic Sciences. He has been involved in Forensic entomology for over 25 years. His primary interests lie in decomposition patterns, use of entomological data in estimations of the postmortem interval and effects of drugs and toxins on the rates and patterns of insect development. He has provided expert testimony for homicide investigations in the United States, Canada, Europe and Southeast Asia. He has lectured and given training workshops on Forensic Entomology to academics and law enforcement in North and South America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Dr. Goff has published over 225 papers in refereed journals, and authored the book "A Fly For The Prosecution." Dr. Goff also serves as a consultant for several television programs, including "CSI: Las Vegas" and "Bones." He is curator of the traveling museum exhibit CSI: Crime Scene Insects. A Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Entomology, he has served two terms as Chair of the executive Board. Dr. Goff is a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (Pathology/Biology Section), a member of the North American Association of Forensic Entomology, American Society of Clinical Laboratory Directors and an Affiliate Member of the National Association of Medical Examiners. Among the awards he has received, he was the first recipient of the Pathology/Biology Section of the AAFS Forensic Biologist Award in 2008.
