American Board of Forensic Entomology Technician Certification Application
Certification as a forensic entomology technician confirms that an individual possesses the skills and knowledge necessary to properly collect, preserve, and ship entomological evidence to a Diplomate or Member of the American Board of Forensic Entomology (ABFE) for identification and development of case reports. Such certification would strengthen the credentials of individuals employed with crime laboratories or medical examiner offices and required to investigate scenes of human or veterinary forensic importance where insect evidence is potentially present. This recognition would also strengthen such facilities as certified individuals would be recognized by the board certifying body for forensic entomology in North America.
